Radio is my favorite medium (less work than print, and less hassle than TV). And I like public radio because it means talking about something for 15 minutes instead of 30 seconds. Through interviews and commentary on Eight Forty-Eight on Chicago Public Radio and The Motley Fool broadcast around the country on NPR , I’ve talked about topics as diverse as using economics to get out of a speeding ticket and the factors driving gas prices ever higher.

You can read about each of the shows below and check their Web sites for the latest programming:

Eight Forty-Eight
In Chicago: Monday-Friday 9:35-11 am
“Eight Forty-Eight” is the street address of Chicago Public Radio studios on Navy Pier, and it's also the name of our award-winning morning magazine program. Each day, Eight Forty-Eight serves up a diverse mix of interviews, discussions, documentaries, produced pieces, news reports, and original essays—all with a local bent.

The Motley Fool
Nationwide: air times varied
This program - canceled in 2006 - offered personal finance and investing information for everyone -- from the novice investor to the most experienced stockbroker. Through a lively blend of listener call-ins, guest interviews, and games, David Gardner covered a range of money matters -- from how to get out of debt to how to pay for college and much more.
